Heya peeps... How's everyone going? Just want to wish you all a happy new year... a happy chinese new year that is... or let me attempt to say it in chinese "Gung Hei Fat Choy"... now all the chinky ppls reading this would prolli be having a good laugh... but hey i'm not chinese... well i am but not... but thats another enitre story!!! Anyways about a week or so ago was valentines day and i guess it really got me thinking... besides the fact that it got me thinking of what to get kya... but it also got me thinking about what/why we celebrate valentines day... because as the cliche goes it's a hallmark/herchey's holiday... but i guess the other thing is that it makes single people remember that they're single/lonely... now not that's entirely true... but i know of some people who totally hate valentines day and i guess it makes them feel alone, lonely and that nobody cares for them... and i guess the other question is that is valentines day entirly set aside for couples... can it also be used to express friendship? or will they make another day for friendship day??? and for those in the relationship... the ironic thing is that shouldn't you be showing your love to your partner everyday? and isn't valentines day a day where florist hike up the prices for roses? on a slight side note... i ordered a red rose for kya about a week or so before valentines day and they sent a yellowish-white rose... and i found out that they're saving their red roses... so therefore some of the red roses on valentines day is like a week or so old or maybe even older?? WOW.... hehehe... see luckily for me kya "instructed" me not to be like the other men that pays crazy amounts of $$$ to buy a rose on valentines day... so i guess i was relieved... but in the end i did buy her a rose... but i didn't pay a crazy price for it... and sometimes i wish i was still at school... cuz i found out from some of my kids from me youth that their school SRC (student representative council) where selling roses for $3..... but anyways... so i did end up getting her a rose as well as this 
I think her reaction when she opened up the pressie was... i can't describe it in words... for abit of reference i'm like totally scared when i comes to buying a girl clothing and particullarly jewllery... cause well i dont' know nothing about them... and i dunno kinda like a no-go zone... but yes... so when i did get it i was really really petrified that she wouldn't like it and what not... but yeah... glad she liked it.... haahaha....to go with that.... i also performed a few songs for her as well... those songs being 1) When you say nothing at all 2) In the still of the night 3)More then Words.... I guess why we celebrate valentines day... or why i celebrate valentines day is to celebrate love... yes you can celebrate it everyday... which i reckon you should celebrate it everyday... but that one day in the year is like "THE DAY" where you celebrate it... just like you celebrate your birthday once a year.... well anyways... there's a lil insight to my valentines day... hope it make sence... if it doesn't... its 3:15am... and i'm working 15 hours straight... (Long story... well not really but i can't be bothered...) PEACE OUT! |
